During the handover ceremony in Port Harcourt, Ogon outlined his administration's focus on consolidating past achievements while enhancing the institute's role in professional development and strategic leadership. He emphasized that the chapter will serve as a hub for strategic thinking, intellectual growth, mentorship, and collaboration, ensuring that membership provides tangible opportunities for learning and networking.
Ogon highlighted continuous professional development as a key priority, acknowledging the need for adaptability in the face of technological advancements and evolving economic landscapes. His administration plans to organize seminars, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions, alongside strengthening mentorship programs to bridge the experience gap between established professionals and younger members.
The new chairman also pledged to uphold transparency, accountability, and professional ethics in the management of the chapter's resources. He called for increased collaboration among members and with the national leadership of ISMNC, encouraging professionals to contribute their expertise to the organization's advancement.
National President of ISMNC, Ndudi Enebeli, welcomed the transition and noted the significance of the Rivers State chapter. He expressed concern about member apathy and challenged the new executive to devise strategies for increased engagement and re-engagement of inactive members. Enebeli also commended the chapter's past contributions, including producing a national president and being recognized as the institute's best-performing chapter.
